Service Description

A single session of Pilates in a small class setting, specifically for new Mum's and Mum's-to-be Located at FeelGoodMothetrhood, Minnis. Tuesday afternoons 1-2pm. T&Cs: It is essential that a registration form is completed prior to your 1st class. If you have significant or complex health history a 1:1 is recommended before completing group sessions. If you decide to go ahead without completing a 1:1, you may be asked to stop classes until a 1:1 is completed, if it is deemed necessary. If you are using a price plan - once purchased, please book all your sessions for your available dates. If you are booking pay as you go, please do not book more than a week in advance (if you do you may be asked to join the waitlist if the class becomes full). Pre and post-natal Pilates is sensitive to positions you should or should not do whilst pregnant, to protect both yourself and your baby. This will minimise any pregnancy-related conditions such as pelvic girdle pain, rectus abdominis diastasis, and other more general aches, pains, or musculoskeletal concerns. Once your baby is here (at least 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 8-10 weeks post c-section is recommended before starting gentle exercise and you should have had your GP appointment to agree you can return to exercise) you also need to feel ready to get back to taking time for you and gradually returning to previous fitness and strength (or beyond!) We will guide you, again, with what you should or shouldn't do and ensure correct technique to gradually progress through the levels at a pace suited to you. Please feel free to bring under-school-age children, they are welcome to join in. I will be child-free so can keep an eye if they are inattentive to the class and choose to free-roam. They can also be used to help strengthen (as a weight!) or, to aid stretching movements. Pilates is a great way to improve posture, manage persistent spinal conditions and tone muscle - it is often recommended by a health professional as a management technique if pain is chronic and/or cannot be cured. Please see the description for other classes for a more detailed description of general Pilates.
